The earnings of electroplaters vary widely depending on skills and experience, the type of work, geographical location, and other factors. The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) reports that the median hourly wage of platers in May 2015 was $14.69, or $30,550 annually for full-time work. The top 10 percent earned $49,250 and the lowest 10 percent earned $20,730.
