Digital Designers

Work Environment

Most digital designers work 40-hour weeks, though overtime is often required when there are pending deadlines or special projects are assigned. They spend most of their time using computers, the Internet, and related technology, whether creating a design or illustration, fine-tuning computer coding, or testing interface usability. Travel is sometimes necessary to meet potential clients.
