Many criminal lawyers join the American Bar Association, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, National Association of Women Lawyers, National District Attorneys Association, and the National Legal Aid and Defender Association. Other important organizations for lawyers include the Association of American Law Schools, Law School Admission Council, and the National Association for Law Placement.
