Many associations cater to the needs of career and employment counselors. Among the most prominent are: the American Counseling Association (ACA), whose Web site portals on Knowledge and Careers offer information in the areas of ethics, licensure requirements, choosing a career in counseling, and job listings, as well as webinars and podcasts in these and other areas; the Career Planning & Adult Development Network, which trains and certifies career transition coaches and job and career development coaches through university continuing education courses as well as through businesses and government agencies; the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), whose Web site's Knowledge Center describes information on career services offered by the association; the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), whose Web site contains extensive information on the certification process and also publishes a free online newsletter; and the National Career Development Association (NCDA), whose Web site provides information on professional development, resources, standards, scientific research, and advocacy.
