Biofeedback Therapists

Outlook

The employment outlook for biofeedback therapists is good. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, overall employment for all health diagnosing and treating practitioners not listed separately will grow much faster than the average for all industries through 2028. While the department does not provide specific projections for biofeedback therapists, it is logical to conclude they will be in demand for several reasons. One reason is the growing population of Americans aged 65 and over. People in this age group are more likely to need and seek out treatments for many different conditions. This will increase the demand for most health care industry workers, including biofeedback therapists. Also, because most individuals have some sort of medical insurance, the costs of care, including nontraditional courses of treatment such as biofeedback therapy, have become more affordable. According to EEG Education & Research, many insurance plans cover biofeedback therapy for treatment of certain conditions.
