Overview

Auctioneers appraise, assemble, and advertise goods, which they subsequently sell to the highest bidder during an auction. They act as salespeople for the family, company, or agency selling the items to be auctioned. Depending on their area of expertise, they may auction off anything from a rare book to an entire office building.
