8:45 a.m.: Reach the client site in the city center after a comfortable 30-minute train ride. ("I work at the client site in a small team room with two colleagues, with an adjoining small conference room for meetings with the clients. When I get in, I prepare materials for a client update meeting to present findings and to gather and incorporate feedback.")
9:00 a.m.: Client update meeting with the three members of the client team. "We receive lots of good feedback and suggestions for next steps.")
10:00 a.m.: Go down to Starbucks to get some coffee with a senior colleague; chit-chat about the week ahead.
10:30 a.m.: Continue to analyze the customer database to determine the prioritized segments, incorporating suggestions from today's update meeting. Occasionally pop in on the data analysis manager to ask specific questions about the database.
12:30 p.m.: Have a longer team lunch with the manager, associate and four of the client team members. ("Having lunch with the client is good for building the client relationship.")
2:00 p.m.: Start working on my section of the presentation for the mid-term review with the senior management.
4:30 p.m.: Manage to get a one-on-one review and problem-solving time with the manager to go through the insights from the analysis and review the draft for the mid-term review.
5:30 p.m.: Prepare the necessary coding for the program to run the analysis overnight.
6:30 p.m.: Reach home and have dinner, change and relax.
9:30 p.m.: Power up the computer again to finish up some work-related emails.
10:30 p.m.: Time to get ready for bed.
