Our interview process is trying to not only sort out a candidate's skills and capabilities, but also if they are a cultural fit. We will have technical phone screens, meetings to assess cultural fit, whiteboard sessions where a real-life challenge is presented (relevant to the candidates skills) for the candidate to present their approach to us as if we were the client.
