About Advocate

Billing itself as "not your typical IT consulting firm," Advocate’s consultancy of IT advisors and data scientists help companies transform and optimize their technology infrastructure. The company utilizes its marketplace intelligence, decision analytics and acceleration capabilities to provide the crucial insights necessary to help over 600 enterprise clients make the best decisions possible as it relates to their cloud and connectivity services. Advocate serves clients in all industries ranging from healthcare, finance, technology, and industrial to retail, media and entertainment.

The firm's entire approach is centered on strategies for cloud and connectivity—two issues that Advocate argues should be at the heart of its clients' business priorities. The reason for that: in a world where businesses and their customers need to be able access applications anytime, anywhere, there will always be a gap between an organization's IT capabilities and what they will need in future. Advocate's services seek to bridge that gap from a performance perspective with 4 times faster results, while also delivering cost savings to clients—indeed, the firm claims to have delivered over $200 million in savings to clients in the past two years alone with 98% customer satisfaction rating and a Net Promoter Score® of 84.

Founding fathers

The firm was founded in 2001 by Scott Fogle and Tim Wise, both veterans of the technology and telecommunications sectors. Upon starting Advocate, they began rounding up a number of other industry "insiders"—fellow senior-level IT specialists with decades of experience in their industry sector. That experience is one of the ways that the firm differentiates itself in the marketplace.

While it is based in Atlanta, Advocate is far from being a local or regional firm—in fact they have successfully delivered projects in over 150 countries. In addition, Advocate has deep knowledge and expertise with over 400 service providers in 80+ countries providing 100K price points while serving a total market of $1 trillion. The firm's success is driven by a vendor-neutral approach and experienced IT advisors and data scientists. An approach that it claims means as an independent 3rd party, Advocate recommends the best option for its clients (as opposed to other firms that have only Agent relationships).

In Good Company

A large IT management company selected Advocate to transform their network infrastructure by pushing applications closer to the edge of the Internet. The switch frees the company from legacy contracts and unsustainable MPLS growth, while connecting it to a next-generation solution for speed and cost savings. The improvements will allow the customer to get its products to market more quickly and expects a ROI of $5 million through cost savings, enhanced carrier contracts and improved application speed.

Advocate will deliver a large financial services company over $30M in IT savings over the next 10 years by reducing their data center footprint and improving their disaster recovery program.

A leading global healthcare device and service provider has chosen Advocate to transform their IT infrastructure. This industry leader is Advocate's largest client to date and joins an impressive list of clients including Aaron's, BCBS and Société Générale. The Insiders have delivered $200 million in savings to global clients over the last two years with a 98% customer satisfaction rating and a Net Promoter Score® of 84.

A leading e-commerce marketplace provider turned to Advocate to optimize their global network and mobile infrastructure. From assessment to benchmarking, the Advocate team together with the client delivered an optimized network with a 34% saving on overall costs.

A major U.S. media and entertainment company had network performance issues related to the design of their nationwide WAN.
