I have shopped at Peebles for years and always could find what I wanted.

The quality of clothing as continually gone down since it was sold to Specialty Retailers, Inc. The store in Staunton, Va. needed to be updated, the clothing is the same every year. No trendy clothes, the same shoes every year.

As a former employee of the Staunton store, I can tell you the pay is awful. I was employed for nine years as an ass. mgr. starting at $9.00 per hour ended after those nine years with only a $2.56 increase, which is disgraceful. If the Staunton Peebles had listened to employees as to what would sell in their store, had done remodeling and paid better, it would not be closing because of low sales.
