Introduction

Founded in 1998, The Trevor Project's main goal is suicide prevention in LGBTQIA+ youths, who statistically are at a much higher risk of suicide than other young people. The Trevor Project operates hotlines and provides resources to aid parents, schools, and others in supporting LGBTQIA+ teens. Volunteers can work as crisis counselors, either by text or phone, as well as get involved with local chapters.
