Mergers and Acquisitions

In 2013 ORC enhanced its consumer research offerings through the purchase of Marketing Research Services, based in Cincinnati. The purchase allowed ORC to inherit new Fortune 500 clients within the consumer packaged goods, pharmaceuticals, retail, and restaurant industries. The deal also gained ORC access to consumer research on the Hispanic market, one of the fastest-growing markets throughout the country.

Company Background

The company's market research roots go all the way back to 1938, when it was established primarily to conduct public opinion polling for large businesses. ORC stands for "Opinion Research Corporation."
