Transformation in the DNA
Navigant's sweet spot is in working with clients and industries in the midst of significant transformation. While the firm delivers many of its specialized services and solutions across a spectrum of industries, the Energy, Financial Services and Healthcare sectors represent the largest served by Navigant. Since its early days, the firm has succeeded by staying true to its core: providing strategic and operational advice as well as legal, disputes and compliance expertise to highly regulated industries in the midst of transformation. That transformation may come in the form of regulatory change, evolving consumer demands, globalization or cost pressures, to name a few.
Also core to Navigant's DNA is the firm's disputes and investigative services. The goal of any investigative engagement is to help resolve critical situations promptly, minimizing possible damage to operations, reputation and shareholder value. To that end, Navigant provides advice and analysis throughout the process, and evaluates compliance programs designed to prevent and detect future problems. The firm will also engage, when appropriate, with stakeholders and oversight bodies.
In the Energy industry, Navigant helps clients to deploy and integrate renewable energy, energy storage, and other emerging technologies; to understand the potential of Smart Grid; and to address consumer and regulatory demands. In the midst of these changes, Energy industry players are looking for ways to strengthen their enterprises to increase performance, opportunity and growth. Navigant helps clients do that by providing insight into regulatory processes, pricing, supply-and-demand dynamics, market design, fuel sourcing, financing, technologies and operations.
The Financial, Risk & Compliance sector is emerging from the most significant economic crisis in recent history. Navigant works closely with financial services and financial institution clients to develop sound operations, risk management, distribution and compliance strategies to ensure they are well-positioned to anticipate and take advantage of the changes ahead. In complex disputes and high stakes investigations, the Firm's professionals provide services in accounting, economics, regulation and data and discovery management. According to Navigant, this comprehensive service offering helps clients gain operational efficiencies, manage risks and improve financial performance.
Within the Healthcare sector, the firm's consultants assist health systems, physician practice groups, payers and life sciences companies in designing, developing, and implementing integrated solutions with the goal of creating high-performing healthcare organizations. Navigant’s Healthcare practice assists clients in building capabilities and achieving sustainable peak performance around quality of care, cost, leadership, and culture in today's changing healthcare environment. The firm provides strategic, operational, management and financial advisory services to health systems, physician practice groups, payers and life sciences companies.
Navigant's website provides insights and regularly publishes commentary to help readers and clients find their way out of business quandaries, such as how to manage through the credit crisis or navigate the "green" real estate industry. The firm's emphasis on thought leadership offers several outlets for its professionals to be published, hit the speaking circuit or provide expert commentary.
Challenging Status Quo
Innovation is core to the Firm's strategy. To help foster innovative thinking, Navigant formed an internal Innovation Development Council (IDC) and brought on a Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer. Innovation is embedded into the culture and processes for everyday problem solving throughout the firm. The firm has launched several Innovation Challenge competitions, introduced an Innovation Speaker Series which hosts innovative thought leaders from a variety of channels to speak live about topics that support and drive innovation, and created multiple outlets for employees to share and dialogue about their new business ideas.
