Historically, recruitment focused on Ivy League and similar schools, but has expanded starting this year. Prior model was in-person recruitment, now all-remote due to COVID has forced a re-evaluation of what can be possible in terms of outreach.
Significant market rate adjustment made to base salary last year, but unequal distribution across similarly-performing individuals within the same cohort for unclear reasons. Potentially due to trying to pay women and under-represented minorities slightly higher.
