Working for ADL

ADL employs exceptional people – smart, hard-working individuals with good social skills that enable them to operate with ease between multiple countries and across cultures. We value both professionalism and enthusiasm, as well as the ability to work closely with clients while keeping an independent perspective.

If you have an appetite and aptitude for creative problem solving, ADL could be the company for you, because creativity is at the heart of what makes us unique. We’re looking for people with the imagination to see things from different angles, try a variety of approaches, and arrive at original insight via lateral thinking.

Self-motivation is important, as is the confidence to put ideas into action and see solutions through to their implementation. At the same time, we value the ability to work well as part of a team, while also being sensitive to social and cultural issues.

What we offer

ADL takes great pride in offering a uniquely rewarding working experience and an exciting, fast-track career with a wealth of opportunities, great freedom and a high degree of personal responsibility.

“At Arthur D. Little, I’ve been given the opportunity to take on significant responsibility from day one. As a result, I’ve developed immensely both personally and professionally. The culture is open and genuine, and employees are valued and heard. What you do makes an impact.”

Alexandra Nybonn, Consultant, Gothenburg

“Being a mom, I appreciate that Arthur D. Little offers a good work-life balance. I was able to continue working from when my baby was two months old, and given the freedom to choose my work timings.”

Vidhitha Kanakamedala, Manager, Dubai

“If you want to start a career in strategy consulting, be at the core of major business changes and experience the international flavor of a global firm, this is definitely the place to be!”

Florent Nansé, Principal, USA

We are dedicated to developing our people through formal training and on-the-job learning. On joining, you will be assigned an assessor, whose role will be to develop your professional consulting capabilities and offer help, advice and support. Our transparent career development plans include clear feedback loops that always let you know where you stand.

From the outset, you can expect to be involved in complex and challenging work, with your development plan designed to continually increase your knowledge and broaden your experience. You will take part in training courses every year with participants drawn from across our global organization, which will provide you with an international network of colleagues and friends.

The work-life balance that we promote ensures that our company is full of interesting, enthusiastic, well-rounded individuals who are committed to their work and yet value their lives outside it. This helps to create a positive environment where work is a pleasure.

It’s a fact of life that not everyone stays in consulting. When staff leave us, they typically move into industry roles where their consulting skills are leveraged in strategy and operational functions.  Some come back because they miss the culture. In any case, we keep in touch with our alumni both formally and informally.
