Why White & Case?

You will work on intellectually challenging assignments from the outset, typically with a mix of local-office and cross border matters. A good lawyer is always learning, and we make a personal commitment to your training and professional development. The manner in which we staff our deals guarantees that there will be an international component to just about any assignment you are given, no matter which office you call home.

We create an environment where you will fit in, with plenty of room to stand out. You will work with colleagues across the globe on high-performing, cross-border and cross-practice teams. We will provide you with the support you need to become the best professional you can be.

Who we’re looking for

There is no such thing as a typical White & Case lawyer. We recruit people from many nationalities and backgrounds, and with varied personalities. We hire talented people who want to build their career in the United States, as well as people who would like to eventually transfer overseas. Fluency in a second language, including Arabic, French, Japanese, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish, is a plus.

It goes without saying that we expect intelligence and academic excellence. You need to be able to analyze how the law works and be creative, yet pragmatic in your interpretation of it. In time, our clients will come to depend on your ability to think laterally when resolving a complex issue or structuring an international transaction on their behalf. Collaboration and a team-oriented mindset will be key to your success and ours.

How to apply

We want to recruit and develop people who have the potential to become leading lawyers and contribute to our ongoing growth.
