The People are great! You get to work on actual legal issues (No doc review). $4000/week+ really nice free housing, a free rental car and free food/entertainment (who doesn't like great pay and perks). Plaintiff side personal injury firm, so no billable requirements and firm only requires about 45-50 hours/week for their actual attorneys and only about 40 hours/week for summer associates
Downers
No collaboration with other summer associates (each summer is assigned to a different partner and his team for the entire summer). Only lasts 8 weeks instead of 10.
Advice to Candidates
The recruiting period for Summer Associates begins much later than most firms (around February or March). They accept 1Ls and 2Ls.
