About Snell & Wilmer L.L.P.
With 12 offices throughout the western United States and Mexico, Snell & Wilmer is home to more than 400 attorneys. In recent years, the firm has topped the charts as one of the largest firms in the state of Arizona.
Snell & Wilmer opened its doors in 1938, when three Phoenix-area attorneys led by Frank Snell joined up with Mark Wilmer. Snell and his team found Wilmer by asking the Maricopa County Superior Court who the best trial lawyer in the state was—each identified Wilmer. In 1989, Snell & Wilmer began its expansion outside of Phoenix by opening a Tucson office and shortly thereafter merging with Tucson's largest firm at the time. The 1990s saw the firm expanding to Orange County, California, and Salt Lake City. By 2010, Snell & Wilmer had rounded out its current roster of offices after expanding to Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Reno, and Los Cabos, Mexico.

Snell & Wilmer clients include major national and multinational corporations, educational and research institutions, municipalities and government agencies, nonprofits, charitable organizations, industry executives and high-net-worth individuals. With its office in Los Cabos, the firm has expanded to provide a variety of legal services to business clients in Mexico. The firm counsels these clients through cross-border deals and issues related to real estate, commercial finance, antitrust and trade regulations, and labor and employment.
Snell & Wilmer has a well-rounded portfolio of litigation and dispute resolution experience. In its securities litigation practice, the firm handles shareholder derivative lawsuits, SEC investigations, and securities fraud claims. On a larger scale, the firm has experience representing clients—including Fortune 500 companies—in class actions based on consumer claims and alleged regulatory violations. True to its Western roots, the firm also has a robust practice in the gaming industry; for example, the firm has represented multiple Las Vegas hotels and resorts in various IP disputes.
Supporting Diversity Even Before Law School
Snell & Wilmer is committed to providing enriching opportunities to diverse lawyers and law students—even before law school starts. The firm’s “Go FAR” program helps diverse students navigate the law school admissions process, and the firm awards numerous scholarships to cover the cost of taking the LSAT. Once enrolled in law school, students can take advantage of the firm’s diversity internships and 2L spring semester writing program. Then, at the firm, new attorneys have the option of being paired with a diverse partner or senior associate as part of the firm’s mentorship program.
We are utilizing a hybrid of recruiting methods for our 2021 summer class. We have fewer spots to fill this year, have filled some of them, will be participating in OCI in January and also hosting resume collections at many schools. We anticipate most, if not all, of our interviews will be conducted via Zoom.
