About Reminger Co., L.P.A.
Founded in 1958, Reminger Co., L.P.A. is a full-service firm with 14 offices located throughout Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. In its 60 years, the firm has grown from a two-man practice to more than 140 attorneys. Reminger’s areas of specialization have also expanded from its original focus on civil litigation to include corporate/business, transactional, and probate/estate matters.
Kings of the Road
Reminger has its roots in transportation; its original practice area was transportation defense, which caters to trucking companies and their insurers. Over the past 60 years, Reminger has grown this practice into one of the premier transportation practices in the country; the firm has been continually recognized on a national level by U.S. News and World Report. The practice even has a 24-hour emergency line to contact a firm attorney for “on-scene” assignments day and night. Reminger’s transportation clients include Fortune 500 companies FedEx and YRC Worldwide.
From a workplace perspective, Reminger has received high marks from The Cleveland Plain Dealer, having been named the "#1 top workplace in northeast Ohio among midsized companies” three separate times. Reminger has received high accolades for performance both at a firmwide and an individual level. American Lawyer Media has named Reminger a “Go-To Law Firm for the Top 500 Companies” in the area of Torts Litigation. The firm and its attorneys have also been recognized by U.S. News and World Report, Best Law Firms, and Super Lawyers.
IN THE NEWS
Reminger was recognized by U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers® in the 2019 Best Law Firms ranking. The firm placed in two practice areas nationally: Insurance law and Transportation Law. The firm also placed in several Metropolitan rankings—Tier 1 through Tier 3—for multiple practices in such cities as Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, and Toledo.
Reminger joined with The Lawyers Guild of the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland and the Catholic Community Foundation to create the Martin T. Galvin Memorial Scholarship Fund. The scholarship honors former Reminger attorney Marty Galvin, who passed away in 2018. Reminger granted $10,000 toward the scholarship, which awards $1,000 to a student attending a Catholic high school in the Cleveland Diocese who also has a family member who is a practicing attorney or who is a member of the Lawyers’ Guild of the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland.
Three Reminger lawyers were recognized as Best Lawyers® 2019 Lawyer of the Year: Joseph Cavasinni, Adam Fried, and Donald Moracz. Cavassinni is co-chair of Reminger’s Construction Design and Liability practice group. Fried is a shareholder in the firm’s Estate, Trust, and Probate Litigation practice group. Moracz is managing partner of the firm’s Sandusky office and a member of the firm's Executive and Management Committees. This honor is given to one lawyer from each eligible practice in a specific metropolitan area.
Reminger’s Columbus office was named a finalist in Columbus Business First’s 2018 Corporate Citizenship Awards in the medium-sized employer category. The awards recognize companies that are “doing good works to make Central Ohio a better place.”
