Our Commitment to Pro Bono
Our pro bono work and commitment to community are a cornerstone of our firm’s legacy. We encourage all our lawyers to participate in meaningful pro bono work, and every approved pro bono matter is given hour-for-hour credit against total billable hours. Our commitment is considerable: in 2015, nearly 99 percent of lawyers in our U.S. offices and 80 percent of lawyers in our international offices dedicated at least 20 hours to pro bono work. Globally, we engage in a broad range of pro bono activities and make charitable contributions to numerous causes, including those in education, children’s and family services, arts and culture, and the environment. Paul Hastings is currently ranked sixth on The American Lawyer’s U.S. Pro Bono Report, and third on The American Lawyer’s International Pro Bono Report.
