More than 70 percent of the firm’s attorneys have spent their entire legal career at the firm, and this includes some who have been with the firm since its inception in 1988.

Qualified Experts
McAndrews opened its Chicago doors in 1988, where it has remained a single-office IP shop. The original founding team of five attorneys has grown to a firm nearly 70 attorneys strong. Many McAndrews attorneys have backgrounds that supplement their IP practices and allow the firm of relatively small size to navigate all types of IP matters, such as undergraduate and advanced degrees in engineering, chemistry, and biochemistry. Nearly all of the firm’s attorneys are also registered to practice at the USPTO.
