Who We Are
Haynes and Boone is a young, but established and diverse, law firm. We are committed to mirroring our clients’ diversity within our own ranks. Our average age is just 42. Our lawyers hail from 45 states in the U.S. and 26 countries around the world. While our firm was founded in Texas, today 49 percent of our lawyers come from law schools outside of Texas, with more than 163 undergraduate and 97 law schools represented. We boast a worldwide legal team made up of more than 29 percent women attorneys and 16 percent minority attorneys, and we are fluent in more than 22 foreign languages.
Who We Represent
Our clients are public and privately-held commercial businesses and financial institutions, as well as governments and state-owned entities, involved in advanced international business and financial transactions and complex dispute resolution proceedings.
Our broad and diverse client base includes businesses owned and operated in the United States, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Our largest client accounts for only 6 percent of gross revenues and our top five clients account for only 14 percent of gross revenues. More than 49 percent of our revenue comes from non-Texas based companies and another 15 percent from internationally-based companies.

We are committed to serving the communities in which we are located. Toward that end, we annually dedicate substantial time and funds to pro bono work and community service. This commitment is integral to the Haynes and Boone culture. Richard Haynes was a strong and consistent advocate of community service in Dallas and received the Justinian Award for Public Service in recognition of his contributions to such organizations as the Dallas Art Museum and the Baylor Medical Center Foundation. Mike Boone was the 2008 recipient of the J. Erik Jonsson Ethics Award, presented by Southern Methodist University’s Cary M. Maguire Center for Ethics and Responsibility to honor his civic activism, commitment to public service and generous charitable contributions.
