Travelers, students, and residents are probably having an easier time banking thanks to Graham & Dunn’s recent niche in negotiating bank mergers between native Washington state banks and larger out-of-state banks. The firm helped to negotiate the largest Northwestern banking deal in ten years: the merger between Columbia Banking System in Washington and West Coast Bancorp in Oregon, which involved a stock-cash transaction of over $500 million and consolidated an estimated $7.2 billion in assets and created more than 150 branches throughout the states of Washington and Oregon. Graham & Dunn also advised Pacific International Bancorp in Seattle’s $8.2 million stock transaction merger with BBCN Bancorp, Inc. in Los Angeles. The firm has also helped in-state banks widen their reach, such as through the $72 million all-cash transaction which took place between Northwest Commercial Bank in Lakewood and Heritage Bank in Olympia and created the Premier Pacific Northwest Community Banking Franchise.
A Diverse Group
