The Administration on Aging (AoA) is dedicated to helping the elderly throughout the US. Founded in 1965, the organization provides a wide variety of services such as adult day care, nutrition, meal delivery, legal assistance, and transportation. Its National Family Caregiver Support Program also offers support for individuals caring for family members with chronic illnesses or disabilities. In addition, AoA educates the public as well as policymakers about the elderly's long-term care needs. The organization, which is part of the US Department of Health and Human Services, is funded under the Older Americans Act.
