Its probably safe to say the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) has made, like, a gazillion dollars. The BEP is the largest producer of security documents in the US, printing portions of US passports, homeland security materials, military identification cards, immigration and naturalization certificates, White House invitations, and of course, Federal Reserve notes (that's paper money, y'all). The BEP advises federal agencies on issues related to document security. The BEP does not receive Congressional appropriations; its product sales (primarily to the Federal Reserve) cover its operating expenses and fund its capital investments. The BEF has printing operations in Washington, DC, and Fort Worth, Texas.
