About Utz Quality Foods, LLC
A leader in the salty snack foods market, Utz each week produces pounds of potato chips and pecks of pretzels. It also makes popcorn and pork rinds and even a few snacks that don't begin with the letter p, such as corn chips, onion rings, and cheese curls. The company's products are distributed across the eastern US through grocery and convenience stores, drug stores, mass merchants, and other channels. Utz's popular brand names include Utz, Zapp's, Golden Flake, Poore Brothers, and Bachman. Founded in 1921, the company is owned by fourth-generation family members.
Utz is a leader in multiple snack categories, including cheese snacks, potato chips, and pretzels. Its dozen-plus brands include Utz, Golden Flake, Zapp’s, Poore Brothers, Tato Skins, Good Health, Bachman, Wachusett, and Nathan's Famous.
Based in Hanover, Pennsylvania, Utz has about a dozen manufacturing facilities in Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania. Its market area covers some two dozen US states, primarily up and down the East Coast.
