The company has found success with new products that complement cheese. For example, its Balanced Breaks refrigerated snack kit, introduced in 2017, drove nearly 30% of the company's growth in 2018. To build on the brand, the company introduced Sunrise Balanced Breaks in 2019. The breakfast replacement product pairs cheese cubes with granola, quinoa, seeds, fruit, and other breakfast-friendly foods.
Another recent innovation is the company's new Reserve Series shredded cheese product, which features aged natural cheeses such as 18-month aged cheddar and 14-month aged parmesan.
On the infrastructure front, Sargento is planning an expansion of its corporate headquarters in Plymouth, Wisconsin. The expansion will add two new office buildings and bring 300 new jobs.
