Stash was founded in 2015 by David Ronick, Ed Robinson, and its current CEO Brandon Kreig. The company launched its services for iOS users in October of the same year. By March 2016, its platform was made available for Android operating systems. Between 2017 and 2020, the company had grown from one million users to over five million users.
Headquartered in New York City, Stash allows users to invest in small increments through its mobile app, and also offers personal banking accounts, retirement funds, and custodial accounts. All job openings with Stash are remote positions, affording candidates the luxury of working from the comfort of their homes. There are many opportunities available in areas such as software engineering, human resources, product design, product management, legal, and more.
Stash founded the Stash101 program, which aims to teach financial literacy to young people. Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive end Ndamunkong Suh and his wife, Katya, are participating in Stash’s Stash101 Summer School, where 160 underserved students from the Portland Public school system will be selected to attend classes on financial literacy. The program was launched in 2021, and CEO Brandon Kreig promises that Stash101 Summer School will help students “develop smarter money habits to last a lifetime.”
