About Robinhood

Founded in 2013 by Vladimir Tenev and Baiju Bhatt on the belief that everyone should be welcome to participate in our financial system, Robinhood is an immensely popular app offering the trading of stocks (and other financial products like cryptocurrencies). Many credit Robinhood’s app with the increased interest from younger people—or other newcomers to stock trading—in the stock market. The company says that more than half of people using its app are first-time investors. According to The Wall Street Journal, “Robinhood has transformed retail trading” and has “revolutionized online trading.” In 2020, Robinhood's annual revenue increased 245 percent from the previous year to reach $959 million.

Headquartered in Menlo Park, California, with a handful of offices around the country, Robinhood is considered one of the best places to work for. Benefits for full-time employees have been praised as “unreal,” with paid vacations, maternity/paternity leaves, matching 401(k), medical that includes spouses (including LGBTQ+ partners), relocation assistance, a dog-friendly office, adoption assistance, transportation reimbursement, a catered free kitchen, and more.

Today, Robinhood has approximately 1,300 employees and is looking to grow. Robinhood rewards talent and ambition, and is always looking for motivated candidates to join its team in areas such as data science, software engineering, risk management, tax management, business analytics, customer experience, product design, editorial, finance, legal, marketing, recruiting, product management, research, and security.
