About N26

Valentin Stalf and Maximilian Tayenthal founded N26 in 2013. The company was originally called Number 26, a reference to the number of small cubes within a Rubik’s Cube. Once the company received its banking license in 2016, it re-branded itself as N26. In 2019, the company expanded its operations into the U.S. and today employs more than 1,500 people worldwide. N26’s corporate headquarters is located in Berlin, Germany. Stalf is the company’s CEO.

N26 offers personal banking accounts and a mobile app, which allows users to make transfers and monitor their accounts. N26 offers career paths at each of its locations: Barcelona, Berlin, New York Paris, and Vienna. Its New York location offers opportunities in software engineering, product management, web development, and more.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, N26 took steps to help ensure that its customers remained healthy, active, and entertained. N26 began offering exclusive discounts for its customers through its partnerships with companies such as 8fit, Skill Yoga, and Udemy. 8fit and Skill Yoga are fitness apps that promote self-care and an active lifestyle, while Udemy is an online learning platform that offers courses to build new skills or improve upon existing ones.
