In 1918, when he was 14 years old, C.W. Cameron dropped out of school to support his family after his father became disabled. In 1960, C.W. and his son, C.B. Cameron, founded American Fidelity Assurance Company based on the belief that “the most important asset anyone has is their ability to work and earn a living.” Today, American Fidelity provides supplemental life and health insurance as well as other financial security products and services to companies in a wide range of industries.

Still run by the Cameron family, American Fidelity is routinely listed by Fortune magazine as a great place to work—now among millennials especially, the magazine notes.
