Sales and Marketing
Customers include independent software vendors (ISVs), systems integrators (SIs) and VARs, to government organizations, OEMs, and IT and R&D groups within the largest enterprises. Embarcadero claims as customers 90 members of the Fortune 100 and that its products have been used by more than 3 million developers.
Embarcadero continues to introduce new products to keep pace with evolving industry standards. In 2019, Embarcadero released offered licenses for FmxLinux for Delphi, which allows developers to compile desktop applications for 64-bit Linux. FmxLinux is a toolchain for compiling Linux desktop applications using Embarcadero’s Linux compiler for Delphi, which is also part of the RAD Studio bundle.
The company partners with other companies to offer integrated products. It teamed with TMS Software to offer application integration capabilities with cloud services. The partnership is to provide developers access cloud services programmatically in minutes instead of studying service API documentation for hours.
Embarcadero has developed a following among developers in 30 years of business. Its 3 million users provide an element of credibility as does its relationship with parent, Idera Inc.
Despite its longevity, Embarcadero faces still competition from larger companies with vast resources. Competitors include BMC and CA.
