Most of the people I worked with were nice
Collaborative environment with a mostly good teamDowners
Mid-tier managers are sometimes resistant to change
Some less-than-desirable personalities were tolerated because of their technical knowledge.
Sometimes managers wouldn't invest in skill sets for employees, such as by assigning small projects or tasks to help an employee develop an new skill. That was the reason I ended up leaving.Advice to Candidates
If you are one of the final candidates being considered for an opportunity, ask if it is possible to meet some of the team members you will be working with, even if it's a two-minute "Hi, I'm Joe". See if they look friendly, interested, curious to meet you... or disinterested, sullen, or just too busy/tired to care.
