About PJT Partners

PJT Partners is an advisory-focused investment bank headquartered in New York, with additional offices in Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, London, Madrid, and Hong Kong. The firm was created in October 2015 after Blackstone’s advisory businesses were spun off and combined with PJT Capital LP, a financial advisory firm founded by Paul J. Taubman in 2013. The new company began trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “PJT” on October 1, 2015.

PJT Partners operates through the following business units: strategic advisory, restructuring and special situations, PJT Park Hill, and PJT Camberview.

The strategic advisory business, led by an experienced team of professionals, delivers solutions to companies and their boards as well as financial sponsors across numerous industries and geographies. The group’s services include advice on M&A, joint ventures, minority investments, asset swaps, divestitures, takeover defenses, corporate finance advisory, private placements, and distressed sales. Through 2019, PJT Partners has advised on more than $230 billion in global transaction volume. For 2019, it ranked No. 9 in global M&A announced volume and No. 7 in U.S. M&A announced volume. Recent notable strategic advisory assignments include advising AbbVie on its acquisition of Allergan, TD Ameritrade on its acquisition by Charles Schwab, GE on the sale of its BioPharma business to Danaher, and Caesars on its combination with Eldorado Resorts.

The firm’s restructuring and special situations business is one of the most well known on Wall Street. Its services include advising companies, creditors, and financial sponsors on recapitalizations, reorganizations, exchange offers, debt repurchases, capital raises, and distressed mergers and acquisitions. In the first nine months of 2019, the firm advised on six of the world’s 10 largest bankruptcies during the period. Further underscoring its restructuring prowess, PJT Partners was named Restructuring Adviser of the Year for 2016 by International Financing Review. The team is consistently retained in some of the largest and most complex global restructuring transactions. Restructuring clients have included Puerto Rico, PG&E, General Electric, iHeartMedia, Purdue Pharma, Windstream, Noble, and Steinhoff.
