The firm's interview process is extremely thorough often including many interviews with numerous different members of the firm. Although this can be lengthy ultimately I think it is extremely effective as the quality of our people demonstrates. I don't think there is an ideal candidate for GS as there are many different styles and personalities that suit different roles within the firm. Some common characteristics though are ambition, resilience and the ability to work under pressure.
