About Fifth Third Bancorp

Fifth Third Bancorp is one of the largest consumer banks in the Midwestern U.S. It’s a diversified financial services company operating 1,154 branches and 2,469 automated teller machines in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Florida, Tennessee, West Virginia, Georgia, and North Carolina. Fifth Third Bancorp—usually called Fifth Third Bank (or, more colloquially, the “5/3 Bank”)—has been in Ohio since 1858 when it opened as the Bank of the Ohio Valley. Headquartered in Cincinnati, the bank adopted its current name in 1969.

The institution has four primary business units: commercial banking, branch banking, consumer lending, and wealth and asset management. The employee base is more than 60 percent female, and 36 percent of staff are millennials.  Fifth Third offers generous benefits packages to its employees.
