In addition, its Rising Star Casino Resort in Rising Son, Indiana includes a riverboat casino with 40,000 square feet of gaming space, a 200-room hotel, a theater, and several restaurants. In 2012 the company sold its interest in the FireKeepers management agreement. Full House had collaborated with a Native American tribe in Battle Creek, Michigan, to manage the FireKeepers Casino. The property opened in 2009 and included slot machines, table games, restaurants, and lounges. Full House is using a portion of the proceeds from the sale to pay off its remaining outstanding debt.
Mergers and Acquisitions
Full House Resorts pursues acquisitions in regional gaming markets, and its business has significantly expanded through a few key recent purchases and partnerships. In 2012 the company completed the purchase of the Silver Slipper Casino in Hancock County, Mississippi for approximately $70 million.
The previous year Full House acquired the Grand Victoria Casino & Resort in Rising Son, Indiana for approximately $19 million in cash and $33 million in credit and subsequently changed the name of Grand Victoria to Rising Star Casino Resort.
