About Omniflight Inc

Wind Point Partners blows life into middle-market businesses seeking growth. The private equity firm targets industries including business services, consumer and industrial products, and media and communications. It typically acquires stakes in firms with revenues between $100 million and $500 million, investing from $30 million to $150 million to fund leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, consolidations, and expansions. It manages approximately $2.8 billion in committed capital from pension funds, endowments, and individual investors. Portfolio holdings include interests in Active Interest Media, Railworks, Petmate, and Vertellus Specialties. Wind Point was founded in 1984.

Since its founding, Wind Point Partners has acquired more than 90 platform companies and made some 160 add-on acquisitions. The firm is currently investing from a $915 million fund closed in 2009. Recent deals include Massachusetts-based Argotec, a manufacturer of specialty polyurethane film and sheet, acquired in 2013. In 2012 the firm bought Interface Solutions, which makes fiber gaskets for the automotive and other markets.

Alert to synergies and opportunities to add value to its portfolio companies, in May 2013 Wind Point Partners merged two of its holdings -- Hearthside Food Solutions (acquired in 2009) and Ryt-way Industries (acquired in 2008) -- to create a leading North America contract food manufacturer, with more than $1 billion in sales and 19 manufacturing facilities across seven states. (Both companies provide contract manufacturing services to leading food and consumer packaged goods companies in North America.) Prior to the merger, Hearthside agreed to sell its Golden Temple all-natural ready-to-eat cereals and granola business (acquired in 2010) to Post Holdings to better focus on contract manufacturing. Under Wind Point's ownership, Hearthside has grown to become the largest independent bakery in the US.

Also in 2013, cookie maker Nonni's (acquired in 2011) purchased La Dolce Vita, a maker of biscotti and specialty cookies, to extend its specialty cookie offering. La Dolce Vita is Nonni's second acquisition.
