Family-owned Bennett Lumber Products annually produces about 150 million board ft. of lumber from such species as Douglas fir, white fir, inland red cedar, Idaho white pine, Engelmann spruce, lodgepole pine, and ponderosa pine. The company ships its products by truck and rail, and distributes them throughout the US and Canada. Guy Bennett founded the enterprise in 1939, sawing scrap lumber to build fruit crates for area orchards. It encompasses the operations of the former Guy Bennett Lumber Company in Clarkston, Washington and Bennett Lumber Products in Princeton, Idaho, which merged in 2003.
