Through its business units, Behlen offers an array of fabricated metal equipment and building systems to agricultural customers in more than 90 countries. Its core products include metal livestock equipment, pallets, and grain storage bins, as well as metal buildings and trailers. Behlen Building Systems focuses on making agricultural buildings and building components, while Behlen's International Ag Systems unit makes silos and other grain storage containers and offers custom fabrication. The company's BMC Transportation unit transports Behlen products throughout North America. The company was founded in 1936 by Walter D. Behlen.
