Employee Reviews

  • “The best part of my firm is its culture. It has been harder being in a remote environment this year, but the firm has still managed to put on virtual events so we can bond.”
  • “L&B has many activities and events outside of the workplace, which shows they understand there is more to life than just working. They are also upfront with what you as an employee will be responsible for, so there aren't any surprises. We also have weekly community meetings so we can interact with people from all departments on a personal level.”
  • “I have several friends who work at top 15 firms, and I have the best work/life balance of any of them. The flexibility provided me at L&B is second to none.”
  • “The firm has a great work/life balance and encourages staff to take advantage of PTO.”

Getting Hired Here

  • “My firm doesn't focus as much on technical skills but rather a person's ability to communicate and their personality. They know that new hires are going to learn the technical skills with practice. They want people who are going to bring life into the firm and who will have a positive attitude. My experience with interviewing is that I had one interview on campus. It was for their summer leadership program. They emailed me about a week later with the official invitation. I attended that event and received a call with an internship offer a couple of weeks later. I then went through the internship process and got a full-time offer during my exit interview.”
  • “The firm was professional but also warm and friendly during interviews and the callback process. I was offered a full-time position on the last day of my internship, and the firm was transparent about salary and benefits in the offer letter. The firm's ideal candidate is a team player who works well with others, a friendly and helpful person, and someone willing to learn and grow in their career.”
  • “You interview with upper-level management, then partners. Then they pair you with staff accountants who take you to lunch. It gives you a glimpse of the people at all three levels of management. L&B is looking for someone who is personable, hardworking, and independent.”
  • “Looking for someone who fits the culture of the firm and attacks projects with a strong attitude. A technical knowledge is preferred, but the ability to learn quickly is required.”
