Got law on the brain but not sure if law school is right for you? No doubt—and hopefully if you’re considering pursuing law school—you’ve read all of the reports and commentary on the challenging legal job market. And you’re probably in-the-know about the recent criticism of law school transparency (whether that relates to employment statistics, scholarships awards or some other factor). Plus, you’ve likely thought long and hard about finances and whether you can afford the hefty price tag attached to most law schools.

But where does that leave you? You’ve got a handful of negatives and another handful of reasons why law school may be a good fit for you. Maybe it’s time to talk it out.

Next Wednesday (May 18th), I’ll be moderating a panel at the NYU Wasserman Center hosted by Stratus Prep called “Should I Apply to Law School?” Panelists will include a BigLaw partner, a public interest attorney, a recent law grad and a legal industry expert. We’re going to get to the nitty-gritty of leaping into that law school investment, important considerations, the legal job market, and individual questions from the audience.

Speaking of individual questions, I’d love to hear from you on any questions you’d like me to ask of the panelists. Even if you can’t attend the event, feel free to share what you’d most like to see discussed. You can email me any questions at mksheridan@vault.com, post questions on twitter (@VaultLaw) or include questions in the comments below.

I hope to see you there. You can register here (the event is free).
