Highlighting marketing and sales experience is important on a CV for the consumer goods industry. Whether its through internships, work placements or even shop assistant level, field experience shows knowledge of the industry and a dedication to gaining relevant experience from an early stage. It also indicates that you have insight into consumer behaviour. Dont start with employment history - if you have a degree, present it proudly under Education at the top. Employers want intelligent and educated employees. Be one. This includes listing any seminars and short courses you may have taken, as they demonstrate initiative and a will to learn.
