Libraries are the places to be these days.  The Wall Street Journal reports that there's been an uptick in library traffic as much as 65% as more people get laid off, seek cheap entertainment, and of course, look for jobs.  Mundane activities like browsing the internet, sending off resumes, and researching industries (like at, I don't know, are seemingly elevated by the grandeur lent by ponderous silences and an atmosphere of arcane knowledge.  Well ok, there's also free computers and wi-fi, so there you go.

As I mentioned before, Vault will be holding an event with the New York Public Library on Tuesday, January 27th.  Come on out for free career advice workshops, individual coaching sessions, and meet with corporate and executive recruiters!  Click here for details and advance session sign ups.
