It may be so obvious you've overlooked it. In the course of your job search, have you tapped industry-specific associations and print/online publications to their fullest extent?

The huge job posting sites are fine (no need to name names -- you know which ones we're talking about). But there are also all sorts of niche-focused job search tools available, for everyone from potential beverage company staffers (at Just Drinks) and energy sector workers (the Energy Jobs Network) to marketing professionals and management hopefuls (the American Marketing Association at www.marketingpower.com and non-profiteers (Opportunity Knocks). Visit the web sites of your (or your bosses') regular reads or check out the print versions' back pages for ads, organizations or ideas on companies to target.
