12:20 p.m.: With our schedule of panels and workshops nearing its midway point, we?re seeing a strong turnout of eager job-seekers here on the bottom floor of the New York Public Science, Industry and Business Library. Our ever-changing lineup of group tutorials has produced overflow crowds, with the line for our 11:30 a.m. presentation on Networking trailing out the room and into the library?s Electronic Information Center. A diverse media corps has joined the 125-plus visitors, with a Japanese news crew interviewing job-seekers and Univision stopping by briefly before jetting off on a breaking story (they assured us they?d be back later for the full scoop). I?m off to the second of our recruiting panels?more later.
