Chances are if you work in finance (no matter what area: investment banking, investment management, commercial banking, etc.) you have been asked hundreds of times by friends and family alike who do not understand exactly what you do if you have a good stock tip for them. Now, instead of telling them, "That's not what I do, I don't really work with stocks, etc.," you can just tell them that you do have a tip, and then get their email addresses and send them this link to the Wall Street Journal's latest Best on the Street ranking, highlighting the top stock pickers in the U.S. On the list there are, of course, analysts from household-name firms such as Goldman Sachs and Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley, but you also will find several folks from lesser-known institutions such as Canaccord Adams and Keefe Bruyette & Woods and Stifel Nicolaus, among others.
