Buffett buys HOG, sleazeballs hit shelves, Fidelity starts slashing, PNC cuts 5K, pinkslippers party down, Kravis gives keynote, UBS poaches brokers, CS bags bonuses, and 50 years ago today over a corn field somewhere in Iowa a small plane carrying legendary rock ‘n rollers Charles Hardin “Buddy” Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper a.k.a. J.P. Richardson went down in a storm and all three were killed in an incident afterwards and to this day referred to and memorialized by Mr. American Pie Don McLean and others as the day the music died.
