Hello folks.

I'm Sam Reynolds, Vault's new consulting editor. I follow in the illustrious footsteps of my friend and consulting mentor Naomi Newman, a trustworthy source of information and candid insight to many of you; I'm confident that I can provide much of the same, with substance and a bit of style.

What I mean is this: I'm going to dish the dirt, scope the scoop, baste the buzz and then serve it up hot, cooked to perfection like a Thanksgiving bird. No consulting story is too large, no outlandish gossip too small to warrant attention here.

A special notice to current consultants: Are you seriously in love with your job? Or rather, do you absolutely hate everything about it? If you're working (or have recently worked) at a major consultancy, I want to hear from you! Any correspondences will remain confidential and any published attributions anonymous; if you think you have some valuable information that jobseekers (who might end up at your firm soon) could benefit from, don't hesitate to contact me.

I urge all readers to reach out to me at with inquiries, suggestions, and anything else you'd like to see mulled over and churned out by Vault's new consulting editor.

In the meantime, feel free to browse several of my many recent posts to get a feel for what the future of Consult THIS holds:

Until we meet again!
