Occupation Profile

ColdFusion Programmer

Published by: | Post a Comment
Created by the Allaire Corporation, ColdFusion includes server and development tools that enable the integration of databases and Web pages. Cold Fusion Web pages are written in Cold Fusion Markup Language (CFML). CFML simplifies the process of integration with databases and counteracts the need for more complex languages like C++ to create translating programs.

Qualifications:
To get on the IT fast track, Cold Fusion programmers generally need a B.S. in Computer Science and/or related industry experience. Most companies require that Cold Fusion job applicants have significant client/server development experience as well as general managerial experience. A strong background in C/S, SQL, and HTML is advantageous for these programmers, as is experience with ASP, UNIX, and Oracle.
